Hello! I have been a crafting fool this week! I got a call at the last minute to have a vendor booth at a local tea parlor for their annual Mother's Day luncheon. I wasn't able to attend as we already had plans but I am very familiar with the business and the owner and they said I could still set up a table and they would take care of the rest! My craft room has exploded as wide as the local rockslide we experienced last week - but I will be cleaning it up soon to get ready for another vendor event this weekend! I LOVE my job!!!
Here is the card I made with this week's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge - check it out!
Oh Whale! is a stamp set that did not carry over to the new catalog and I will miss it dearly! I will definitely be keeping this set in my personal collection. The card I made for this week's sketch is actually pretty easy - and I used NO dimensionals - which is a shocker to me!
I started by embossing the clouds on the front of the card base. (BTW - when I was editing my pictures I noticed the clouds might be upside down...what do you think?) I followed with a Daffodil Delight flag, my whale image layered on Melon Mambo with a layer of Melon Mambo DSP from the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper - another thing I will miss.... Then I finished off the card with a Tempting Turquoise button and White Baker's Twine.
What a fun card! I've got TONS of thank you's to send out so I think this will be well received as well as the message inside. I would love to see what you create with this sketch. Post your project on Mary Jo's blog and check out the other projects created by the Design Team:
