Ornament Keepsakes Christmas Card and World Cardmaking Day Contest!

Happy World Cardmaking Day! World Cardmaking Day (WCMD) is a day to celebrate creativity and to make something meaningful. It’s also a day to kick off the holiday season and get a head start on making seasonal cards.I couldn't forget to share a card with you on this special day! (Also, check out the bottom of this post for a contest!)

I know you think it's too early for Christmas but did you know that Christmas is less than 100 days away? ( 80 days in fact!) That's just a couple of months away and you will want to start making your Christmas cards sooner rather than later! Here is a Christmas Card idea I thought I would share with you:

I saw a card with a similar layout on Pinterest but I decided to change it up a bit. Instead of using all that glimmer paper (which I love!) I chose to use Pool Party and Island Indigo. I love Christmas cards with non-traditional color schemes. I added lots of "bling" this card with the Basic and Large Rhinestones. I also used my new favorite ribbon from the Holiday Catalog - Silver 1/8" ribbon. It is so gorgeous in person!

Instead of stamping the greeting on the pattern, I chose to stamp the greeting on the lower corner.  The stamp sets Ornament Keepsakes and More Merry Messages are still available this year even though you don't see it in the catalog. Here is a carryover list of some items not listed in the catalog. This card comes together quickly with the coordinating framelits when using the Magnetic Platform with the Big Shot

Supplies used for this project:
  • Stamps: More Merry Greetings, Ornament Keepsakes
  • Paper: Island Indigo, Pool Party, and Whisper White card stock; Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stack
  • Ink: Island Indigo
  • Accessories: Holiday Ornament Framelits Dies, Silver 1/8" ribbon, Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Large Rhinestone Jewels, 1/2" circle punch

Now for the contest!
