Happy Monday!! It's time for a Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge with the Technostamper! This week's sketch (TSSC284) is below:
Can you believe that we are nearly half-way through October? I will be carving and designing pumpkins with the kids this week since we are in the middle of Fall Break. I have had Fall on the mind lately with the cooler weather and shorter days so of course my card this week has a Fall theme!
I have to say that the patterns and colors in the Sweater Weather DSP are GORGEOUS together. I loved the fall patterns Stampin' Up! carried last year but these cooler colors and softer designs are so perfect for the change in seasons we are going through!
I have had burlap ribbon for so long and finally opened it up to make this card. Burlap is such a perfect fall and holiday medium. I did try to have the flag tip on the burlap but I really liked the frayed edges on my ribbon.
Did you notice the "twine" in the button? I removed the stitching from the edges of the ribbon and used the little strings I pulled out from the burlap ribbon and used it as twine. I think I should have used more! I can't wait to share this card with one of my newest customers, Frances!
Supplies used for this project:
- Stamps: Truly Grateful
- Paper: Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla card stock; Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper
- Ink: Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, and Tangerine Tango
- Accessories: Designer Naturals Buttons, 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon

We were just saying we have not done pumpkins in a few years as my son was bored with it--he is 13--but I think I am going to get a few and just make him do it--he will have fun once it starts. I know I will, lol. You card is beautiful. I love those colors for fall cards. They just bring me a feeling of comfort for some reason. Thanks for being such an important part of the TSSC team.
ReplyDeleteLoving all the pretty things with the fall DSP. I just wish I could love fall more. I love the leaves and the colors but HATE that it means cool and colder weather and lots of rain!
