Consider It CASEd! ~ Bordering Blooms

In the world of paper crafting, there is no shame in copying; in fact, it's encouraged! CASEing is an easy way to come up with a project quickly, and there's more than one way to CASE.
  • You can copy a project EXACTLY;
  • You can switch out some of the elements to adapt it for your different needs.

CASEing Copy And Share Everything

Sometimes coming up with a project design idea takes longer than actually making the project itself. CASEing is great because it can save you time or inspire you to make another project.

Today's focus is another photopolymer stamp set Bordering Blooms:

The repeating patterns on this stamp set allow you to create lines on your cards in one swift stamp impression!

Any Stampin' Up! catalog is a great resource for ideas. If you look at page 163 in the 2014-15 Annual Catalog you will see these ideas for the Bordering Blooms stamp set:

I bought this stamp set because of the 1st card sample in this picture. I loved the colors and even more importantly I loved that the smaller pattern fit perfectly inside the larger starburst pattern making my stamping quicker (and no need for the Stamp A Ma Jig!)

Here is my CASEd sample:

Did you notice the stamp set from last week's CASE? Another Thank You strikes again!  Aren't the mini cards in a muslin bag a great idea? Stamping on muslin is so much fun but since I didn't have any muslin bags I chose to make a full-sized A2 card rather than a 3x3 card.

One benefit to photopolymers is that they are flexible, but I discovered that could also be a negative thing. Lesson learned? When using using these 2 stamps together, lay the stamp down on your card stock (as if you were stamping) and then lay your acrylic block over the top to "pick up" your stamp. When you do this you can avoid the potential stretching, pulling, or misalignment of the longer stamps.

This is a 5-minute card and so fun to make. Don't be alarmed by the short list of supplies - that's a great thing, right?

Here are some other fun samples I found that are a bit more stepped up or using a similar CASEing strategy. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you were inspired!
