Last week we had our team meeting Christmas party. We had food, make & takes, and gifts! Our team meetings are always fun! We were able to use some of the new products coming out and my upline Rene Watson gave out awesome door prizes - ribbon, scented embossing powders, smooch spritz, and many more - all new products coming out in the new 2012 Occasions Mini. I can't wait to share with you some of the projects I've been making with the new tools and papers!
I would like to share with you some of the gifts that were made as part of our gift exchange. I will start with what I made. I found this awesome tutorial by Julia Leece for a 3-D frame. I didn't have the same tools and papers as shown in her tutorial so I used what I had. If you would like the tutorial I will be happy to share! There is a piece of paper in the middle of the frame showing the recipient where to insert the picture and that it slides in or out. So fun to make and really very easy!
This was a cool magnet board covered with our designer fabric. Ribbon was attached to the frame so it can hang on the wall.
This message center was really neat. Two of the frame sections were decorated with a "Create" stamp and definition and then an "Inspire" and definition. Then Totally Tess is in the lower right corner. There is a memo pad and pencil on this board and a place to attach a photo.
This napkin holder was the only item "stolen" during our exchange. This was altered with Designer Series Paper. There was also an acrylic block covered with DSP on one side and felt on the other to use as a weight to keep the napkins from blowing out. What a great idea!
These handmade fabric ornaments are so intricately done. The creator said that there were over 200 straight pins in each ornament. Can you believe that!!! The Designer fabric used on these and the ribbon are so beautiful!
This pin cushion was made with Stampin' Up! designer fabric and a picture frame! Another creative idea!! If you can see in the picture there is some bath salts in a test tube held by a beautifully decorated test tube holder.
Here is a "Recipe" box. It is a decorated card box in the Holiday Mini and also offered in the upcoming 2012 Occasions Mini. The box was altered and labeled "RECIPES" and inside were lots of card samples. How cute!!! I almost stole that but instead I stayed with my gift....
I'm not sure how well you can tell from this picture but I received 4 wooden letters "S", "N", "O", and "W" altered with Pool Party DSP (love that color!) and embossed with snowflakes. This will look so cool on my mantel. I don't have enough home decor items - I really should work on that!!
Then we had door prizes. Our upline, Rene Watson packaged them so beautifully and simply. I stole the idea for gifts we gave to the teacher and bus driver this year. How simple AND I didn't have to go buy gift bags because I already had a bunch of brown lunch sacks.
And check out these awesome cookies that Rene had made for us!
How cute! And I love the tag that she attached to the cookie. I need to get that Big Shot die. There are so many cute ideas I have seen with this die for all-year-round use.
Stay tuned for the Make & Takes we did! Beautiful new paper and Big shot dies!!
