Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday because I love the various shades of pinks and reds with white on all the holiday flair! When I received this card in a swap from Ami Wilson, I fell in love! Ami is in my local group and we get together every few months and learn new stamping techniques, use new products, socialize, eat yummy food and swap cards!
The background stamp, En Francais, is so lovely and I keep saying I'm going to get it, but I always forget until I see a card with it and kick myself for not getting it. (And I probably won't be getting it any time soon since I already have my February order planned out....) She was really worried about the Real Red ribbon she used as it traditionally doesn't coordinate with the Cherry Cobbler but as an embellishment it works! I actually looked for what Cherry Cobbler options of ribbon there were and they are pretty slim. The only one I saw that could work was the Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon and that could add a nice romantic flow to the card. Another option of ribbon may be the Chantilly or Victorian ribbon to give it that vintage look. I hope this beautiful card inspires you as you create your Valentine's projects!
