I'm meeting my friend Alicia today for breakfast for her birthday. I already sent her a birthday card but I hate to show up empty handed! I decided to give her an assortment of cards to use whenever she needs a card. Some are from my stash and here is one that I made. (Hopefully she doesn't read this before we meet for breakfast!)
I was inspired by Julie Davison and her card. I still want to make a Valentine's card with that idea for my monthly swap but I have priorities!!! This Designer Series Paper comes with a soft shading around the 12x12 edge so I decided to carry it out all the way around.
I used the Peekaboo Frames big shot die. Many people originally used this die with it's various peekaboo windows to make Christmas Advent Calendars. I'm glad that this die is so versatile and can be used for many other things.
Here is what the inside of the frame looks like. I was really excited to try my new crease pad that I bought for my larger Big Shot dies. I don't have the smaller crease pad but figured I could try the larger one and *fingers crossed* it should work just as well. It did! So now I don't have to buy the smaller crease pad! I love making things do more than what they were intended for!!
I also used the new Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper and the ribbon from the brads and ribbon pack. Both items were free!! As you may or may not know, during Sale-A-Bration which is Jan 24-Mar 31, for every $50 you spend you can get one item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Spend $100 - get 2 items! I'm sure you get the idea.
Here is the inside of my card. I didn't want to put too much decoration inside and take away from the heartfelt message that may be written inside by Alicia! This stamp is part of a set that is also a Sale-A-Bration item. That's right - it was free!
If you live in the Middle Tennessee area and have been looking for an excuse to get together with your friends - call me! You can have a private party for free and earn free product based on your party sales. If you live further away we can talk about the possibility of doing a long distance class.
If you have ever thought of becoming a Demonstrator with Stampin' Up! now is a great time! The starter kit will be on sale during Sale-A-Bration AND you will get a free pack of Designer Series Paper or a free digital download every month until the end of the year. How awesome is that!!!
Here are the supplies for the project above: (If you see a Stampin Up logo it's because it's too early to show you the actual product until its official release per company policy.)
