I was contacted to create 2 dozen Valentine's Day cards. I created 4 different designs for this customer. In my quest for inspiration I came across this card by Debra Currier. I thought it was so beautifully simple. I guess without the hearts I would call it clean and simple but the hearts add that extra touch and pop of color. Two things I did differently were to change the border punch and I used textured Real Red card stock instead of smooth. The sentiment is stamped in Basic Gray to match the design from the Twitterpated collection of DSP. I really wanted to color in the letters "LOVE" but was afraid of how overpowering that might look. I don't think you can tell from the pictures but the textured card stock does amazing things to your projects without any additional effort!
On the inside of the card I used a retired stamp for the sentiment but used the trio of hearts from I {Heart} Hearts. As always I stamped the back of the card with my name but it is lightly showing through the card. I have to remember on white card stock to use a lighter color - maybe the Basic Gray from the front might have been a good choice.
