Perfectly Preserved Sketch Challenge & Sneak Peek

This week has been full of strawberries! If you follow my facebook page you might have seen that my daughter and I went to Amazin Acres in Sparta, TN and picked just over 3 gallons of strawberries! We have since eaten lots and lots and LOTS of berries including strawberry bread and 2 strawberry pies - one of which will be going to a cookout today!

The strawberries on my brain have inspired my card for this week's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge with the Technostamper. Check out the sketch for this week:

Here is my interpretation of the sketch:

So what's the sneak peek? The paper! Since I've had strawberries on the brain, I had to use one of the new 2013-14 In Colors - Strawberry Slush! I also used the new Modern Medley Designer Series Paper which you can also get on Friday, May 31!

I wanted strawberries to be the focus so I also made some strawberry preserves (which I hope to actually make this week!) by using my blender pen and aqua painter with Strawberry Slush Ink Refill on Watercolor paper.

Don't forget, the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set will retire in 1 week! There are lots of great stamps in this set and there is a coordinating framelit set that you will want to use over and over!

Check out the work of the other talented design team members listed below. Don't forget to add your project using this week's sketch to Mary Jo's blog. We love to see what you create!

  1. Yum! I so love to pick fresh fruit. Taste so much better than getting it at the store. Love your card too--great idea to make the strawberry Jam! Brilliant. Thanks for always having such great samples for my sketch challenge!
