Oh Baby Invitation - Sketch Challenge

It's time for another great sketch challenge with the Technostamper! Check out the sketch below:

When I saw this single stamp offered earlier this year I couldn't WAIT to have it! Isn't so CUTE??? I participate in a monthly swap group and this month's theme was baby or bridal shower invitations using the Big Shot - AWESOME! I knew this sketch would be perfect for this stamp set AND provide the inspiration I needed for my swap project.

Did you know that My Digital Studio can be used as a design tool? I have been seeing the color combination of Calypso Coral, So Saffron, and Pool Party used lately and I thought that was a great color start for a baby card. Since I wanted a gender neutral card, I played around with the different colors on MDS to see which colors I wanted where and decided that Pool Party would be a great base to start with, followed by a layer of So Saffron.

Then for the fun part - the stamping! I thought the Oh Baby image was screaming to be embossed so I thought my Pool Party embossing powder would work perfectly! I matted it with Calypso Coral and used the scallop from the Adorning Accents Framelits. 

I did struggle a bit the flag accent. I started with the Epic Day This and That DSP for the flag. I wanted to use a button with twine on the flag, but I didn't have enough buttons for my swaps. Then I thought about making buttons from the Simply Pressed Clay and Clay Molds (which is totally cool!) but I opted instead to use an image from A Round Array stamp set and add a flower made with layered punched pieces from the plus sign/four leaf clover from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. For the finishing touch I had to add a Rhinestone Jewel! I used a greeting from Make A Wish to complete the invitation theme.
