Welcome to another week of the Technostamper Sketch Challenge. Check out this week's sketch:
When I saw Santa's List in the Holiday Catalog I KNEW - with a little rotation - I had to use it for this challenge!
This is such a great stand-alone stamp set for your holiday cards and it has such a cute greeting to use on not only the outside, but the inside as well if you choose!
Here is my card:
I started with a base of Chocolate Chip card stock and added a layer of DSP from the Season of Style DSP Stack. I love these stack - they are the perfect size for cards and tags and are very portable (if you like to keep a box of things to do when you "have a few minutes"). This stack includes 4 of the 12 patterns found in the 12x12 DSP of the same name.
Then I added a strip of Chocolate Chip card stock toward the bottom of the card front and "twisted" (not sure of the actual term right now) some Whisper White Taffeta ribbon onto that piece.
I stamped the Santa image with Basic Gray ink and then colored Santa's suit with my Aqua Painter and Cherry Cobbler ink. I wiped the color from the brush to my scrap paper until I had a faint color left and used it for Santa's cheeks and lips. Then I added a small dot of Island Indigo to his eyes! I also painted his list using Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake ink. What a fun stamp to color! I punched out my image with my 2-1/2" Circle punch and matted it with a 3" Cherry Cobbler circle.
I stamped the greeting with Basic Gray ink onto Whisper White card stock and matted it with Cherry Cobbler card stock and cut the tips to make a flag. I adhered the Santa image and banner with dimensionals.
