Mosaic Madness: TSSC288 - Sketch Challenge

Welcome back to another Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge with the Technostamper! Here is this week's sketch:

I realized a few days after I made this that I seem to have an affinity with Island Indigo and Daffodil Delight since I seem to use these or very similar colors lately. This sketch was so cute and provides for a quick and easy card!

I started with a base of Island Indigo, followed by a layer of Daffodil Delight. I am often challenged to use DSP that only has 1-2 colors on it. I like my cards to have at least 3 colors and I use my DSP as a guide as to what colors to choose. Choosing this pattern from the Quatrefancy Specialty DSP made me choose a color that wasn't in the pattern. I did take the easy way out and choose a color that was already pre-selected as a coordinating color with this pack of paper. It's almost as easy as a Color Coach - which is one of my favorite tools!

Is it me, or does this chevron ribbon look like it's not symmetrical? I think it's an optical illusion because I measured the ribbon at and it's exaclty 3/4" at each end - so it must just be my eyes! I get giddy everytime I use this chevron ribbon. I definitely want more colors! I used a greeting from the Hostess stamp set Simply Sketched and finished off the images with a bit of bling in the middle!
