TSSC293 - Chevron Birthday

Whew! It has been what seems like an eternity since I've been sharing my projects with you! I took an unplanned stamping vacation and have been working on getting my stamping mojo back to working order! This sketch for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge was the perfect place to start!

I LOVE to send out birthday cards but have been slacking in that department the last few months - so a birthday card was in order and a great way to jump start my birthday calendar planning!

I started with a Daffodil Delight card stock base and used some Pool Party Core'dinations card stock as my next layer. I stamped the Positively Chevron background stamp with Pool Party Classic Ink and then used my Sanding Block to lighten up the color and give it some additional texture. I love the look in real life!

The center layers start with Very Vanilla card stock with a strip of the This and That Epic Day DSP on a layer of Calypso Coral card stock. My cucpakes are stamped with Calypso Coral and Pool Party and then punched out with the Cupcake Punch.

Finally, I used a greeting from A Fitting Occasion and colored the candle with Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight markers. Then I punched it out with a 1" circle punch and layered a 1-1/4" scallop circle of Gumball Green.
