Carolyn's Paper Fantasies: Wetlands Sketch Challenge

Happy Monday! It's time for another Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge! Here is my sample for this week:

I was trying to create a birthday card that could be created for a woman or a man. Unfortunately, the picture looks to be more pink/blue - actually it's Crisp Cantaloupe and Lost Lagoon/Night of Navy - which look better together in real life than I imagined!

Flower Pot Designer Series Paper

Card details:

Base of card is Crisp cantaloupe
Layer of Flower Pot DSP
Color the goose with a Soft Suede marker and the grass with an Old Olive marker
Use Circle Framelit Dies to cut out image from Whisper White and Crisp Cantaloupe card stock
The greeting is stamped with the Silver Metallic Encore Ink onto Night of Navy card stock and punched out with a 1-3/8" punch
Cut a strip of ribbon a little longer than the length of the card and adhere with glue dots

One trick that I like to use when making a faux bow: Tie a piece of twine around a section of the ribbon where the bow is going to be adhered. Trim loose ends. When bow is attached it looks like you actually tied it on!

Tie a bow and adhere to top of ribbon with glue dots or Tombow Multipurpose Glue
