Tuesday's Tool - Aqua Painters

This weeks tool is the Aqua Painter! There are so many ways to use an aqua painter and I'll share one of my very favorite tips about the aqua painter at the end of this post....

Features & Benefits:

• Use with coloring mediums to blend color (Watercolor Pencils, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Classic Stampin' Pads, and Classic Stampin' Ink
• 2 painters included per package: 12mm & 15mm brush sizes

• Reservoir holds 8cc of liquid (about 1-1/2 teaspoons)
• Easy to clean - just pass a couple of strokes on scrap paper to remove color

How to use:

Carefully, squeeze the barrel of the painter. If too much pressure is applied, liquid may come out too fast. I usually like to squeeze it until the brush is wet and then I wipe it on the back of my hand to make sure it's not excessively wet.

It is recommended to empty the barrel and wipe any moisture from the brush tip for storage, however, I use mine at least once a month if not more so I keep the water in it. If you only use the Aqua Painter occasionally, I would suggest you follow the recommendation above.

Tips:

• You can not only fill the Aqua Painter with water BUT ALSO any water-soluble liquid (having the consistency of water) in the refillable reservoir.
• Do not place acrylics or shellac-based ink in the reservoir.
• MY FAVORITE TIP - use to seal your envelopes! This is especially helpful when sealing a large quantity of envelopes like Christmas cards or invitations.
