Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 252 (TSSC252)

Welcome to another week of the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge! Here is sketch #252:

I just LOVE the Patterned Occasions stamp set AND the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper. The best part is that you can't buy it - it's only available for free when you purchase $50 of your favorite products!

Patterned Occasions Stamp Set

Sycamore Street DSP

This particular pattern has such a pretty combination of colors. I would never think to pair Pool Party with Tangerine Tango - but Stampin' Up did it beautifully!

We made this card in Stamp Club this month! Here are the measurements and directions:

  1. I started with a card base of Pool Party - 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (scored at 4-1/2")
  2. I cut the strip of Tangerine Tango at 1/4" x 5-1/2"
  3. The Sycamore Street DSP is cut at 3" x 5-1/2"
  4. I used my 2-1/2" circle punch to cut a partial circle on the right-hand side of the DSP. (If you want your pierced circle further from the edge be sure to punch out a greater circle shape.)
  5. I cut a 2" circle out of Whisper White card stock with my Circles #2 Originals Die
  6. I don't have a Basic Gray marker so I used tape to cover the words before inking and then removed the tape before stamping onto Whisper White card stock. (You could just color the image with a marker if you have the color you need.)
  7. I popped the elephant image up with Stampin' Dimensionals (one of my favorite supply items!)
  8. Then I pierced the 3rd from the outside circle using my Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Piercing Mat, and Paper Piercer.
  9. Then I cleaned my stamp very well (and stamped on my Grid Paper to check for shadows) and used my Tangerine Tango marker to color the words "thanks a ton!" on Whisper White card stock and punched it out withe the Word Window Punch.
  10. Punch a label to layer under the words with the Modern Label Punch and Tangerine Tango card stock. Glue the two labels together and pop up with dimensionals in your desired location.
  11. Make a flower from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and Tangerine Tango card stock. Add a Pearl Jewel Accent and either pop the flower up with dimensionals or glue it flat to your flower.
