Tap Dancing - Butterfly Thank You

Happy Monday and welcome to another week of the Technostamper Sketch Challenge! Here is this week's sketch (TSSC261):

I had so many fun ideas with this sketch! Here are the details:

  1. Start with 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card stock (Regal Rose) - score and fold in half for standard A2 sized card.
  2. Cut the next layer (Floral District DSP) at 5" x 3-3/4". (My design has 2 colors of DSP at 2" x 3-3/4" and 3" x 3-3/4")
  3. My next layer was Whisper White card stock cut at 1" x 3-3/4" matted with Early Espresso card stock cut at 1-1/4" x 3-3/4".
  4. I colored my butterflies from the Kindness Matters stamp set with Regal Rose and Baja Breeze markers. Then using the Tap Dancing technique I added some Early Espresso to the butterflies. To "tap dance" on your stamps just take your marker and lightly tap the side of the marker onto the rubber stamp image. I like to rotate my stamp at least 1 turn or more to make sure I have a random covering of color. This works best when your image is a lighter color and your "tap dancing" is done with a darker colored marker or markers. Huff on your rubber stamp and stamp the image on the far left of your Whisper White card stock.
  5. Stamp the sentiment "Thanks" with Baja Breeze onto Whisper White card stock and punch out using a 1" circle punch. Mat this onto a 1-1/4" scallop circle. I popped up this layer with Dimensionals.
  6. I added some Basic Pearl Jewels to my butterflies for the special finishing touch.

We would love for you to join in the fun and share your project using the same sketch! Check out the inspiration from the other design team members below and add your project using the Linky Tool on Mary Jo's blog. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love the row of butterflies. What a great idea to use the circle for the sentiment! Awesome job. Thanks for another great sample for my sketch challenge!
